Beautifully appointed rooms. Breakfast is topnotch. Doug and Fran are great hosts, with a lot of info on the surrounding area.
Doug and Fran absolutely outdid themselves with this exquisite federalist style bed and breakfast. I found this gem ranked #1 on TripAdvisor (which I always use to find accommodations) and after reading the stellar reviews and gleaming through the charming pictures I had to book it! Doug's warm and friendly personality over the phone made it easy to call back multiple times trying to arrange my visit around my work schedule. My boyfriend and I were looking for a romantic getaway infused with charm and character and the Chanceford Hall B&B was the perfect choice. We arrived later in the evening (8:30pm), due to the Friday D.C.traffic, and were greeted with wine and snacks! The house is beautiful and tastefully decorated true to character. Although the room I wanted to stay in (Cliveden) was already booked, the Chadwick was equally exceptional! Fran and Doug's attention to detail to make sure their guests are comfortable is clearly evident. Doug is knowledgable of all the noteworthy activities/attractions in the area and gave us a map and helpful information on making the best of our time in Snow Hill. Fran and Doug don't claim to be chefs, but I would argue differently! We came to the dinning room table hungry both morning and left with our tummies full of delicious homemade cooking (must have Fran's peach cake)! If you haven't stayed at the Chanceford Hall B&B you are truly missing out. We came as guest and left as family! Thank you again Doug & Fran!!! See you soon!!!
My wife and I were thrilled with our two night stay at Chanceford Hall and will be back! Fran and Doug were exceptional with their hospitality and recommendations for local entertainment. Dinner and show at town's Blue Dog Cafe is a must-see when in Snow Hill, MD area. Great night's sleep, clean comfortable rooms and deliciously decadent breakfast!
Finding and staying at Chanceford Hall was an amazing gift during one of the most difficult weekends our family had faced in many years. My son and daughter-in-law and I needed somewhere to stay on very short notice for a sad family situation, but we were welcomed into the beautiful home of Doug and Fran as if we were dear old friends and we were cared for and treated to every kindness and luxury. I can't say enough about the entire experience and feel like l have made wonderful new friends for life. Oh - and the breakfast was magnificent and served in an elegant, old fashioned style!
